Atlantic Aviators Scholarship

The Atlantic Aviators chapter of Women in Aviation, International would like to encourage women who are high school students in the Greater New Bedford area of Massachusetts to consider the pursuit of a degree in aviation. To provide resources for this, the chapter is offering a $500 scholarship to a deserving female high school student who has demonstrated an aptitude for and interest in pursuing an aviation degree at an accredited college or university. Applicants are asked to submit a 250-word essay describing their goals, achievements thus far, and financial need for selection committee review.

Women in Aviation, International is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the encouragement and advancement of women in all aviation career fields and interests. Our 7,000+ membership includes astronauts, corporate pilots, maintenance technicians, air traffic controllers, business owners, educators, journalists, flight attendants, high school and university students, air show performers, airport managers and many others.  We provide resources to encourage young women to consider aviation as a career. WAI also offers educational outreach programs to educators, aviation industry members and young people nationally and internationally.
